Three fatalities occurred and at least nine others were injured in the newest assault from Ukraine on the Russian frontier area of Belgorod, as stated by regional authorities.

The fatalities occurred subsequent to an assault on the village of Maslova Pristan in the early hours of Wednesday, sources confirmed. Rescue personnel were persisting in looking for people potentially caught under rubble.

This marks the third straight day that Ukraine has targeted the territory, causing numerous residents experiencing blackouts and no fewer than two additional individuals fatally injured.

Wave of Assaults Result in Destruction

A sequence of Wednesday drone and missile attacks harmed houses, vehicles and electrical infrastructure in numerous regions of Belgorod, per information from authority reports.

These attacks come after multiple days of identical assaults that have led to electricity failures and infrastructure destruction in the city of Belgorod and nearby regions.

Broader Context of Hostilities

There has been a substantial rise in the quantity of strikes directed at Russian oil refineries in the past few months, sparking fuel shortages and expense hikes in some parts of the country.

At least 21 of Russia's 38 major refineries - where crude oil is converted into usable fuel like gasoline and diesel fuel - have been hit since January, significantly more than as throughout last year.

Ongoing Hostilities

At the same time, Russian attacks on Ukraine are persisting. Ukrainian aerial defenses reported Wednesday its defences shot down or took out 154 aerial vehicles, but two dozen hit objectives in numerous areas.
