A Pair of Suspects Accused for Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
